Apple has officially confirmed that Apple Fitness+ will launch in India on December 15. This is the service’s biggest rollout since its launch five years ago, opening access to users in 49 countries and regions worldwide. Here’s what you need to know.
Apple Fitness+ is a subscription service designed to help people stay active with guided workouts and meditation sessions. It offers Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing, and up to 12 other workout types, from five-minute sessions to 45 minutes. It works across various screens: the iPhone, iPad, and even Apple TV.
The service is designed to work well with the Apple Watch, which displays important fitness metrics such as heart rate, calories, and progress on Activity rings during a workout. Additionally, AirPods Pro 3 users also get real-time data directly on their screen. The setup is easy to use and fits both beginners and advanced users.
In India, Apple Fitness+ is priced at INR 149 per month or INR 999 per year. Moreover, users can share it with up to 5 family members. The platform becomes available on December 15 across India and other supported regions. Japan will join the list early next year, and the service will offer Japanese dubbing there as well. Apple is also offering three months of free access with new eligible devices.
