Apple to Host ‘Welcome Home’ Event Next Week, More Launches Expected in October

Apple will host its ‘Welcome Home’ event on October 13, where it could unveil its first smart home hub, a new HomePod Mini, and an updated Apple TV 4K. The company may also hold another event later this month to launch new Mac models and the next-generation iPad Mini.

Apple ‘Welcome Home’ Event: Date and Expected Products

Apple has announced its ‘Welcome Home’ event through Greg Joswiak, the company’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. The event is scheduled for October 13 in Tribeca, New York, at 9 am ET (6:30 pm IST). Viewers can also expect a livestream on Apple’s YouTube channel. Apple could use the event to launch its first smart home hub, a new HomePod Mini, and an updated Apple TV 4K. The smart home hub is expected to combine an iPad-like display with HomePod speakers.

The device is said to have either a 6-inch or 7-inch touchscreen with a square layout, an A18 processor, and Siri AI technology. It would even include a front camera for FaceTime calls. The device would be available in table- and wall-mounted versions. HomePod Mini (2026) is expected to come with a faster chipset, an N1 networking chip, and new colors. Apple TV 4K (2026) is expected to get new chipsets, additional RAM, an N1 chip, and a new Siri remote.

Apple Could Host Another Launch Event in Late October

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple could host another launch event on October 27. The event may focus on Macs and the iPad Mini instead of smart home products. Apple is rumored to launch its first touchscreen MacBook, possibly called the MacBook Ultra, alongside new MacBook Pro and iMac models with the M6 chipset.

Apple may also launch a new generation of the iPad Mini with an OLED screen and a better processor. But Apple has not yet revealed the event date or whether it will launch the products. Apple can reveal information about these products via press releases.
