Day two of the BGMI International Cup has just wrapped up. As we expected, today was the day for redemption, not only for Mad Kings and OG but also for our Japanese counterparts, including Nongshim RedForce and CAG Osaka, all of which scored one chicken dinner each. Yesterday’s superstars, Soul, failed to make a dent today, while Nebula had decent matches but nothing special. Despite the gains, DRX still tops the championship with over a hundred points. Here’s what the points table looks like after day two of BMIC.
| Teams | WWCD | Position Points | Finish Points | Total Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DRX | 2 | 41 | 69 | 110 |
| M4 | 2 | 36 | 57 | 93 |
| NBE | 1 | 26 | 67 | 93 |
| TR | 0 | 32 | 51 | 83 |
| OG | 1 | 31 | 49 | 80 |
| DK | 1 | 26 | 54 | 80 |
| NS | 1 | 22 | 51 | 73 |
| SOUL | 1 | 21 | 50 | 71 |
| MAD | 2 | 27 | 43 | 70 |
| CAG | 1 | 26 | 43 | 69 |
| K9 | 0 | 12 | 54 | 66 |
| RIG | 0 | 19 | 44 | 63 |
| RZC | 0 | 15 | 44 | 59 |
| JPX | 0 | 20 | 36 | 56 |
| MTR | 0 | 19 | 26 | 45 |
| GDR | 0 | 11 | 26 | 37 |
After a bad day for almost all international teams, we expected them to make a comeback, and that’s exactly what it was. CAG and Nongshim RedForce finally put their best foot forward and made it clear why they were there. Their gameplay was calculated with some of the best rotations and strategies. Despite the lack of any wins, DRX extended its lead over the whole field, with Nebula trailing behind. Speaking of Nebula, they did display hints of greatness, but were ultimately tackled by stronger rivals.
TR was another comeback story on day two, with the team making it into the top five in the standings thanks to the #2 spot in the first Miramar match. Likewise, OG finally showed everyone what they are actually made of with one of the best finishes in Miramar. However, they are still far behind in the championship. MadKings, despite the chicken dinner in Erangel and some stellar gameplay, their last Miramar match left much to be desired. On the bright side, M4 had probably the best day as the team is just behind the leaders, DRX. Unfortunately, teams like JPX, MTR, and GOR missed on any big points today.
