Smooth Stone in Minecraft is a rare variation of the regular stone, which is only found in Butcher’s houses in villages across the plains. Unfortunately, since these houses are super hard to locate, finding the smooth stone isn’t easy either. Instead, you can craft smooth stone yourself using common raw materials.

Make Smooth Stone in Minecraft

Making smooth stone is a pretty simple process, but you’ll need to gather some materials beforehand.

1. Mine Cobblestone:
   • Locate any stone block in the landscape and mine it using a pickaxe to collect cobblestone.
2. Create a Furnace:
   • Open your crafting menu (3×3 grid).
   • Place eight cobblestones around the edges, leaving the center square empty.
     
   • This will craft a furnace.
   • Move the furnace to your inventory, then place it on the ground.
3. Smelt the Cobblestone into Stone:
   • Open the furnace menu.
   • Add coal (or any other fuel) in the bottom slot.
   • Place the cobblestone in the top slot.
     
   • Wait for it to smelt into regular stone.
4. Smelt the Stone into Smooth Stone:
   • Leave the fuel in place.
   • Replace the cobblestone in the top slot with the stone you just smelted.
     

That’s it! You’ll see flames cooking the stone, and it’ll make the smooth stone. Once the process is done, just add the smooth stone to your inventory.
