OPPO Find X9 Series India Launch Confirmed: Specs, Features & Price

OPPO’s X flagship series has been my favourite for quite some time, as evident by my review of the previous Find X8. I loved the device so much that I even bought one for myself after the review unit went back. Naturally, I’ve been pretty excited for the newest generation, and OPPO has just unveiled the latest X9 Series in China on Thursday. The phone builds on its predecessor in key areas and comes with a refreshed new design.

OPPO is set to launch the X9 Series in global markets on October 28, with an India launch expected in November. The lineup includes the regular X9 and X9 Pro. The smaller brother will come in Titanium Grey and Space Black colorways. On the other hand, the bigger brother will feature Silk White and Titanium Charcoal color options.

OPPO Find X9 & X9 Pro: Specifications

After experimenting with a circular camera housing design, which some users really loved, OPPO is reverting to a square-shaped camera module, which matches the phone’s color. The front of the regular X9 features a 6.58-inch LTPO 1.5K display, while the Pro model bumps the size to 6.78 inches. Both displays support 120Hz and are compatible with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HDR Vivid. The local peak brightness number sits at 3600, although we have yet to test the display’s readability under direct sunlight. Both devices are compatible with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings.

Under the hood, the OPPO Find X9 series is powered by MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9500, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and a terabyte of internal storage. Both phones will debut with OPPO’s newest ColorOS 16 Android skin, which is set to include major refinements and new AI features.

Official Camera Samples from the OPPO Find X9

The cameras on last year’s Find X8 were some of the best I’ve ever tested. This year, the regular Find X9 houses a 50 MP Sony LYT-828 primary sensor, coupled with a 50 MP telephoto and a 50 MP UltraWide lens. The X9 Pro features the same primary and UltraWide lenses, but upgrades the telephoto camera to a 200 MP sensor.

Battery life looks to be another highlight of the X9 series. That’s because the regular X9 houses a 7,025mAh unit, while the X9 Pro gets a mammoth 7,500mAh cell. There’s also support for 80W of fast wireless charging.

OPPO Find X9 Series: Price

As mentioned, the India launch for the OPPO Find X9 is expected in the second week of November. Prices in China for the regular X9 start from CNY 4,399 (around ₹54,300). Meanwhile, the X9 Pro has a starting price of CNY 5,299 (around ₹65,400).
