Panasonic has launched its 2026 Residential Smart AC series in the Indian market. The series is an extension of its presence in the thriving cooling segment. It comprises 57 models, including inverter, fixed speed, smart, hot & cold, and high capacity variants.
The series includes 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star inverter ACs, which are suited to different pockets and requirements. The high-end 5-star variants come with an Amaze Facia in Dark Grey with chrome highlights. The series starts at Rs. 32,490, and the models are available through retail outlets, major e-commerce platforms, and Panasonic brand stores.
These ACs are designed handle India’s tough weather conditions. Whether it is stream heat, dusty environments, humid conditions, or voltage fluctuations, these ACs are designed to perform under pressure. They demonstrate their capability by cooling effectively even at 55°C and maintaining complete cooling at 48°C. A large air intake and 4-way airflow system increase cooling speed and maintain it consistently across the room.
DustBuster Technology automatically removes dust from the outdoor unit by reversing the fan, ensuring consistent performance. Other such features include stabiliser-free operation, Shield Blu+ coating, and 100% copper coils, which enhance durability and performance.
The 2026 series comes with intelligent functions thanks to Panasonic’s MirAIe technology. You can operate it remotely, track energy usage, get notifications for filter cleaning, and schedule a service visit. These Wi-Fi-enabled models are also compatible with Matter for smooth connectivity with other smart devices.
The ACs are designed to save energy with Converti8 Technology, which lets users control cooling levels between 40% and over 100%. Adaptive Thermal Comfort uses AI to adjust settings based on room temperature and weather conditions automatically. Additionally, to improve air quality, the ACs feature nanoe air purification, which helps control indoor pollutants and odours.
The trend of people shifting to urban life and a tougher climate in India is increasing the demand for air conditioners. Panasonic is preparing itself to capitalise on this trend by increasing its presence in the market. The aim is to achieve the sales of around 2 million air conditioners in FY28, through continuous innovation, investment in manufacturing, development of more product lines, and the establishment of better distribution networks in larger cities as well as smaller ones. Make in India will also help in this strategy.
Furthermore, the launch will be promoted through a TVC campaign featuring Panasonic’s brand ambassador, MS Dhoni, known as “Captain Cool.” The campaign highlights Panasonic’s promise of reliable and resilient cooling for Indian homes.
