Primebook has officially launched the Primebook 3 Max, its first laptop under the third-generation lineup. The new model features a MediaTek Genio 720 processor and an expanded PrimeOS experience. The company is also adding more productivity tools, specialized software, device management, and AI-powered computing. The Primebook 3 Pro will be introduced later as part of the same lineup.
The Primebook 3 Max runs on the MediaTek Genio 720 octa-core processor. It features two A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz and six A55 cores reaching up to 2.0GHz. The processor also includes a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 1.1GHz. It comes with an integrated NPU that handles supported AI tasks directly on the device.
Primebook has paired the processor with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. This is an upgrade over the LPDDR4X memory used in the previous generation. The company says the new hardware delivers up to 40% higher performance than its predecessor. The Genio 720 uses a 6nm process and includes an 8th-generation NPU capable of up to 10 TOPS. It can support tasks such as speech recognition, on-device GenAI, and compatible large language models. The Genio 720 also continues Primebook’s partnership with MediaTek for its third-generation laptop lineup.
PrimeOS has also been expanded to offer more than the usual Android laptop experience. Primebook has introduced PrimeOffice as a free, offline-first alternative to Microsoft Office. The suite offers over 90% of Microsoft Office’s functionality through PrimeDocs, PrimeSheets, and PrimePresent. PrimeOffice will first be available on the Primebook 3 Max. Primebook 2 and Primebook 3 Pro will get access in the coming months.
PrimeOS also adds built-in support for selected Linux apps and a Linux terminal. Supported apps include VS Code, GIMP, LibreOffice, Firefox, Arduino IDE, DBeaver CE, TablePlus, and Postman. This gives developers and engineers access to more specialized software and command-line tools. PrimeSecurity adds another layer by checking apps for dangerous or fake software. It can also block harmful or resource-heavy background applications. The built-in Task Manager shows CPU and RAM usage and manages startup apps.
PrimeAGNT is another component of PrimeOS: an AI agent that can carry out tasks across different apps. This agent can comprehend what the user intends to achieve, interact with the app interface, and carry out the steps for them. The Indian Patent Office has released the technology powering PrimeAGNT in August 2026. Primebook has also included PrimeX Cloud PC as a value-added service with PrimeOS.
The Primebook 3 Max has a metallic body with a slimmer profile and matte finish. It features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS anti-glare display with 1920 × 1080 resolution and up to 250 nits of brightness. The laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. It gets a full-function USB 3.2 Type-C port, USB 3.2 Type-A, USB 2.0 Type-A, another USB 2.0 Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroSD slot. The main Type-C port supports charging, OTG, and display output. For video calls, it has a 5MP webcam with 1440p recording at 30fps, along with dual microphones and software noise cancellation. Other features include dual stereo speakers, a backlit keyboard with three brightness levels, and multi-finger touchpad gestures.
The Primebook 3 Max starts at Rs 35,990 in India and is available through Amazon, Flipkart, and Primebook’s D2C store. Buyers can also get No Cost EMI and bank discounts.
