Indie Dev Viral Silk Song Tease Triggers Game Giveaway

The Hollow Knight: Silk song is the long-anticipated game expected to be announced soon, so get ready to hear all the hype around this game. One game developer, Pere Albacar of Guateke Studios, has gone a step further and has created some hype over the game.  He has also vowed a free Steam code to his upcoming indie game, Sands of Hope, to anyone who replies to a post on social media, however, only if Silk song appears at the Nintendo Direct on Jul 31.

Is it 32,000 Comments or More?

It started as a joke, but has blown up. At the given moment, there are more than 32,000 replies to the tweet made by Albacar. The developer was also amazed by the significant reaction as he wrote, “haha, not exactly anticipating 20k comments.” Since the replies have kept increasing, people have been waiting to test Albacar in case it is released when it comes to time. 

Even though there were too many responses, Albacar has managed to maintain the light approach, rather than taking the situation too seriously, and it looks like he enjoys all the fanfare about his game and the thrill which surrounds the community.

So, what is Sands of Hope?:

During Nintendo Direct, when Hollow Knight fans are super glued to their screens, it is this entire scenario that has shed light on Sands of Hope being commandeered. The game is a cute indie game with a setting in the sandy deserts of Cydonia. Ancestral powers mean that the players construct and magnetize cubes, solve puzzles, and resurrect water on the land. You also have a loyal dog companion with you, yes, you can pet it. 

There is a demo released at the beginning of the year that has already gained positive reviews. Among these reviews, one described it as a lovely puzzle game, with a great sense of visuals and humor. Another termed it as very promising. Sands of Hope will be released on Aug 4 on Steam.

Nintendo Direct and Silk song Conjecture:

This week, Nintendo Direct is due to be held at 2 PM UK time, and the time is expected to be approximately 25 minutes. It deals with the third-party games arriving on the existing Nintendo Switch and also the upcoming Switch 2.
