Synthesia is a British artificial-intelligence firm that has already raised as much as $200 million, which allows the company to be valued at approximately $4 billion, which is almost two-fold compared to the valuation of $2.1 billion that the organization received last year.
E-Series financing, led by major investors, including N-Ventures and GV (Google Venture) at Google, is an indication of a high-level of confidence of interactive video technologies amid AI broadly.
Funding Firepower
GV led the round, followed by others including Nvidia, Accel, NEA, Hedosophia, Evantic, Air Street Capital, and many others. This financing also enhances the competitive edge of video development of Synthesia in means of enterprise video development where about 70 % of its income is brought in by large Fortune 100 customers.
Victor Riparbelli, Synthesia’s cofounder and CEO, said in a statement,
that the funding round was “about scaling” its vision of AI reducing the cost of content creation, and AI video providing “a better, more engaging way for organizations to communicate and learn.”

Victor Riparbelli, CEO of Synthesia, told CNBC
that investors appraised the businesses differently from other companies in the space due to its focus on “utility”. Of course, the hype cycle is beneficial to us,”
