NVIDIA has remained at the center of the international competition in the evolution of the artificial intelligence infrastructure. After a three-year long historic rally, investors are already doubting the ability of the firm to maintain the same growth pace as in the past. The signs in the technology industry at present, however, suggest that the fundamental market of Nvidia is yet to pass into the deceleration phase. The need to use high-performance processors used in AI data centers is on an increasing curve. NVIDIA has an overwhelming market share of this market, hence giving it a high purchasing power and order backlog. The position of the company in the AI supply chain is quite strong even without a repeat of its previous explosive profits.

Big tech spending continues to drive demand

Big-tech spending remains a stimulus to demand. The key catalyst that Nvidia can expect to have within the next three years is investment by the leading technology companies in the world. Alphabet is planning to significantly spend more on capital expenditure to grow AI systems, whereas Meta Platforms is also spending more with the main objective of building new AI data centers. Amazon also invests heavily in cloud and AI systems. All these companies are set to spend hundreds of billions of dollars within a single financial year. Much of this will go to hardware, where Nvidia still holds a leadership position. Industry analysts estimate that Nvidia’s revenue and profits will increase more than three times by 2029. This makes the current AI investment cycle more profound and long-lasting.

Despite volatility the outlook remains positive

Short-term price volatility is expected because some investors fear a possible AI bubble and are shifting capital to less risky assets. However, as long as big companies keep expanding data center activities, Nvidia could see growth rates that outperform the overall market, including the S and P 500 for long-term investors, the firm’s strong role in AI chip production still offers a solid growth story.
