Apple just shattered laptop price barriers with the MacBook Neo, a sleek 13-inch powerhouse starting at $599 that’s set to flood markets worldwide.

Unveiled on March 5, 2026, in Cupertino, this entry-level Mac blends premium aluminum build, Apple silicon muscle, and all-day battery in colors like blush, indigo, silver, and citrus making high-end computing accessible like never before.

Stunning Design and Display

At 2.7 pounds with soft rounded edges, the Neo’s durable aluminum shell feels premium yet portable, outshining budget rivals. Its 13-inch Liquid Retina screen boasts 2408×1506 resolution, 500 nits brightness, and 1 billion colors brighter and sharper than most sub-$600 PCs, per Apple’s benchmarks.

Anti-reflective coating ensures crisp views anywhere, from classrooms to cafes.

Powerhouse Performance

Fueled by the A18 Pro chip, Neo crushes daily tasks: up 50% faster in web browsing and 3x in on-device AI like photo effects versus Intel Core Ultra 5 PCs.

The 16-core Neural Engine powers private AI in apps like Photos’ Clean Up tool, while the fanless design stays silent. Gamers get a 5-core GPU boost; battery lasts 16 hours, topping competitors by 30% in mixed use.

Everyday Essentials

A 1080p FaceTime camera, beamforming mics, Spatial Audio speakers, Magic Keyboard, and huge trackpad deliver pro-grade calls and input.

Two USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6, and macOS Tahoe with Apple Intelligence seal the deal seamlessly mirroring iPhones for effortless workflows.

John Ternus said:

“We’re incredibly excited to introduce MacBook Neo, which delivers the magic of the Mac at a breakthrough price,”

Looking ahead, Apple highlights the new model’s environmental features. 60% of the materials used in the MacBook Neo are recycled, including the battery’s 100% recycled cobalt and 90% recycled aluminum. The MacBook Neo is now available for pre-order. On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, delivery will start.
