After launching the V80, vivo showcased its first Mixed Reality (MR) headset, the Vision Discovery Edition, in India. The showcase marks the company’s move into spatial computing. The headset combines vivo’s hardware and software to deliver more immersive, connected digital experiences.

Vivo has designed the Vision Discovery Edition with a focus on comfort and intuitive controls. vivo’s first MR headset weighs only 398 grams and features an ergonomic design. The company conducted human factors studies to improve comfort. Users can choose from four light-seal sizes and eight foam pad types. Visually, it uses 8K dual-binocular micro-OLED displays. The Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 platform powers the headset and ensures responsive tracking. Eye and hand tracking let users control content with natural gestures.

With the Vision Discovery Edition, vivo is exploring new ways to experience digital content. With its headset, one can experience virtual movies on a 120-foot screen that resembles a theater. It offers 360 degrees of virtual worlds and immersive spatial imagery. Mixed reality games will also let users place virtual objects in their environment. The technology of computing vision, sensing, and intuitive control by vivo allows the digital world to connect with the physical world.

vivo X Fold6 Customers Get Exclusive Access

Vivo X Fold6 customers can get priority walk-in access to experience the Vision Discovery Edition. They need to show their pre-order or purchase invoice at the store. Customers can also present their X Fold6 device for access. The exclusive experience zones will remain available until January 5, 2027. Vivo will offer this facility across 15 exclusive stores in 10 cities. These cities include Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Indore, Dehradun, Delhi, Patna, Kolkata, Nagpur, and Mumbai.
