Vivo has officially teased the India launch of the Vivo V80, giving us a first look at the company’s upcoming V-series smartphone. The exact launch date is yet to be announced, but teasers are already live on Vivo’s social media channels and India website. According to rumors, the smartphone will feature a massive 7,200mAh battery, the largest ever in a Vivo V-series smartphone. The Chinese smartphone maker is also focusing on photography, as the V80 will also get Zeiss cameras. The new phone will succeed the Vivo V70, which launched in India earlier this year.
Vivo has started teasing the V80 ahead of its India launch. The company has shared details through social media and its India website. Vivo’s website now features a dedicated landing page for the upcoming smartphone. It currently lists the phone as “Coming Soon” but does not mention a launch date. Recent reports suggest that Vivo could launch it in the first week of October. The company has not confirmed this date yet.
The teaser also reveals part of the phone’s rear design. Vivo has shown the V80 in an orange color option. The rear panel features a triple-camera setup with an LED flash. It will also carry a Zeiss-branded rear camera system. This follows the same camera partnership used on the Vivo V70.
Vivo has already hinted that the V80 will focus on smartphone photography. The company’s teaser describes the phone as a “creative partner.” It also confirms that Vivo wants to continue its camera-focused approach with the new model. However, the company has yet to reveal its complete camera setup. According to recent leaks, the V80 could get a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. It may also offer 3X optical zoom. Vivo has not confirmed these camera details yet. The V80 is also expected to feature a 7,200mAh battery. This would be much larger than the V70’s 6,500mAh battery. The battery could therefore be another major change on the new phone.
Vivo V70 is the previous model that precedes the next-generation model, V80. Vivo officially unveiled the V70 phone in India in February 2026. The phone launched with an initial price tag of Rs 49,999. The device features a 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. The device comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. It also features a 6,500mAh battery and 90W wired fast charging. It has a Zeiss-powered triple rear camera with 50-megapixel primary and telephoto cameras. Vivo hasn’t unveiled the new device’s specifications yet. More details about the launch date, price, and specifications should arrive closer to launch.
