Panasonic has launched two new 4K cameras in India at Broadcast India 2026. The new AK-UCX100 studio camera features built-in autofocus, while the AK-UBX100 is designed for flexible camera setups. Both models combine high-resolution imaging with connectivity options for professional video production.

It has a 19.29-megapixel MOS sensor and can provide 2,000 TVL horizontal resolution in 4K mode. The device also uses HDR HLG technology and BT.2020 color space to achieve more accurate images. It also supports HDR and SDR video streams simultaneously to meet the needs of different projects. The camera lets users change focus areas and manually adjust focus. It is useful when operators need to maintain proper focus when broadcasting an event. The camera can connect to devices via dual 12G-SDI, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI High Bandwidth, and SRT.

Panasonic has integrated video processing into the camera head, allowing it to work without a conventional Camera Control Unit (CCU) in supported configurations. It also supports high-speed shooting at up to 2x in 4K and 4x in HD. An optional HD optical low-pass filter helps reduce moiré when filming LED walls.

Panasonic AK-UBX100 Offers Compact 4K Imaging for Automated Production

The Panasonic AK-UBX100 is a 4K universal camera that combines professional image quality with autofocus capabilities. Weighing about 1.9 kg, it’s ideal for applications that need a small, lightweight camera. The camera features a 19.29-megapixel MOS sensor and delivers 2,000 TV lines at 4K horizontal resolution. The rectangular camera has mounting points that let you mount it on robotic heads, cranes, gimbals, tripods, and ceiling mounts. Its lightweight design can also reduce counterweights in some crane and gimbal configurations. These features give production teams more flexibility when positioning cameras.

AK-UBX100 supports dual 12G-SDI, dual SMPTE ST 2110, NDI High Bandwidth, and SRT connections. It also has dual SFP ports and works with remote control panels from Panasonic and other brands’ pan/tilt heads. This camera uses the same platform and menu system as the AK-UCX100, simplifying color matching and operation with compatible devices. Panasonic designed it for broadcast studios, sports coverage, live events, and automated production setups.
